(CNN) — Megyn Kelly and NBC have officially parted ways.
The parties have been negotiating the terms of her exit for months.
Her talk show “Megyn Kelly Today” was canceled in October when she defended Halloween costumes incorporating black-face.
That was just the final nail in the coffin — executives at NBC had long been unhappy with the performance of her show.
According to one source, NBC will pay out the remainder of Kelly’s three-year contract — about $30 million.
She will be subject to a non-disparagement clause forbidding her from talking about the network, but not a non-compete clause. That means she can appear on a competing network immediately.
She told photographers Thursday she will “definitely” be back on TV, but didn’t say when or in what capacity.
