NORFOLK, Va. (WAVY) — You can help “Keep Norfolk Beautiful” by volunteering to clean up litter along the Elizabeth River Trail for a day.

Saturday, May 4 is “Keep Norfolk Beautiful Day” and the organization has partnered with the Elizabeth River Trail Foundation in an effort to clean up the 10.5-mile long trail along the river.

But they need volunteers of all ages to help make it happen.

From 9 a.m. to 12 p.m., you can help pick up trash and other items in 10 different locations along and near the trail.

After the hard work is done, you’ll be invited to spend the afternoon in the Chelsea District to celebrate.

You can register online or email knb@norfolk.gov or call (757) 441-1347.
