VIRGINIA BEACH, Va. (WAVY) – If you’re a college student in Virginia with an innovative idea, here’s your chance to pitch it and possibly win some cash.
The folks with the Something in the Water Festival have teamed up with Old Dominion University to host a SPLASH! pitch competition.
The competiton is open to individuals or teams, but all applicants must be currently enrolled in a Virginia community college, college or university.
If you’re interested, you’ll need to act fast! Applications are due Friday and only the first 200 entries submitted will be accepted.
The top six students/teams will be selected as finalists and must be available to pitch in person on the day of the competition in Virginia Beach, which is Friday, April 26. That’s also the first day of the SITW festival.
There are three award categories: Biggest Social Impact, Boldest Emerging Technology and Cox Communications’ Best Female Founder. $2,500 in startup funding is also up for grabs.
