Introducing the first-ever Hampton Roads Black Restaurant Week


(hrScene) — In celebration of Black History Month, the Black Owned Restaurant Association has launched the first-ever Hampton Roads Black Restaurant Week!

The week-long event is from Feb. 17 to Feb. 23 at participating restaurants across the 757.

According to the Hampton Roads Black Restaurant Week website, the goal is to unite culture and flavor with a culinary adventure at black-owned restaurants.

The following restaurants will be offering discounted menu items throughout the week:

Beyond Vegan Cell Food – Portsmouth

Croaker’s Spot – Norfolk

J&K Style Grill – Norfolk and Virginia Beach

J.R. Crickets NN — Newport News

Jerrrk Time – Virginia Beach

Mango Mangeaux – Hampton

Martin’s Soul Food – Newport News and Norfolk

Phoenix Restaurant & Lounge – Virginia Beach

Senses Vegan Comfort Food – Norfolk

Scratch Bakery – Hampton and Newport News

Wing and a Prayer – Hampton

Wing Bistro – Hampton
