BLOG: The rainy season is here

Weather Blog

Yesterday we picked up around 0.50″ for many of the Hampton Roads cities, but specifically in Chesapeake and Suffolk, rainfall totals were in the 1″ to 3″ range. A few of you may still have soggy yards this morning. Today, we could see more rain develop, these storms could develop after 3pm. They are not expected to be severe.

Rainfall forecast, now through Saturday morning.

We are going to see several rounds of rainfall moving through our area. Many of us have a good chance to see between 1″ and 3″ of rain by the end of the upcoming weekend.

Rainy season is here.

As we enter June, we are now in our 4th wettest month annually. September is #3 in case you were wondering. In the next weekend and week, some cities may see their monthly totals meet or exceed the normal amount of rain we usually see this month. If the forecast changes and we see even more rain we will let you know if flooding is a concern.
