We had some really intense downpours today. While looking at Super Doppler 10, the most intense rainfall rates I saw were more than 2 inches of rain per hour. It made driving difficult if you were trying to get around town. Even though we had those intense rates, totals were not astronomical.

Cooler air is moving in for your Monday, we will see overcast skies at first, then sunshine in the afternoon.

We should see a nice streak of days with dry weather. Monday will be the only cool day. On Tuesday and Wednesday, highs will return to the 80s.
Surf Update:
With Water temperatures generally between 66 and 68 degrees across Virginia Beach, it’s time that I start hitting the surf forecasts more often. The next two days look good for Virginia Beach and the OBX.

Our partners at Surfline.com will have more information on the surf conditions day by day, but make some plans to get out there. Sunset is just before 8pm, so an after work session might work Monday!
