PORTSMOUTH, Va. (WAVY) — As I make more progress as the months go on, I am getting into the swing of things. Going into the newsroom has become something that I look forward to doing throughout the week. Being at my desk and writing about the local stories that inform the people of Hampton Roads is something that I take great pride in, like a job fair in Chesapeake, or about how the Department of Housing and Urban Development is investing $2.3 million into the Portsmouth Housing Authority.
It’s always important to stay informed about what’s happening in the area. I play a vital role in helping people stay up-to-date on what’s going on.
As the months go on, I hope to get more opportunities to write. When I first started in January, I was writing maybe one story a day. Now that I’ve gotten the hang of things, some days I write as much as three stories in a single shift.
I enjoy the opportunity I have here at WAVY TV 10 and I can’t wait to write more so I can inform more people.
