WANCHESE, N.C. (WAVY) - Sen. Kay Hagan will make a stop in Dare County Wednesday morning to tour a sailboat manufacturer.
Hagan (D-N.C.) will visit Gunboat Co. in Wanchese Marine Industrial Park at 9:30 a.m. There, she will tour the business and discuss her bipartisan AMERICA Works Act. The effort would help industry and community colleges work to train North Carolinians for jobs.
Gunboat Co. moved its business back to the United States in 2012.
Hagan will be joined by CEO and Founder of Gunboat Co., Peter Johnstone; Chairman of the NC Marine Industrial Park Authority, Carl “Pogie” Worsley, Jr. and President of College of the Albemarle, Dr. Kandi Deitemeyer.
