VIRGINIA BEACH, Va. (WAVY) - The Virginia Beach Circuit Court Grand Jury returned 96 true bills Tuesday, and among them was the indictment of Kendall J. Romer.
25-year-old Romer of Virginia Beach was indicted for first degree murder and use of a firearm in connection with the shooting death of his wife, 23-year-old Mattiele Romer.
Grazia Moyers with the Virginia Beach Police Department said officers received a call for a possible suspicious death on May 19, and when they arrived at the scene, they found Mattiele suffering from a gunshot wound.
Mattiele was pronounced dead at the scene.
Kendall Romer is scheduled for trial in Circuit Court November 12.
