VIRGINIA BEACH, Va. (WAVY) - Fuel assistance applications are now being accepted by the Virginia Beach Human Services Department.
The program helps eligible households by offsetting a portion of the cost of home heating. According to the City of Virginia Beach, the program can also help with furnace re-starts, late charges, delivery, installation, or connection fees.
Certain guidelines must be met in order for a household to be eligible for the program.
Applications are being accepted through Nov. 8, and the City of Virginia Beach said applicants should expect eligibility determination by mid-December.
