PORTSMOUTH, Va. (WAVY) - 10 On Your Side reached out to the City of Portsmouth regarding a spelling discrepancy on city signs.
While covering a story in Portsmouth about a proposed recreation in the historic neighborhood of Truxtun, a WAVY crew noticed the city has signs up that spell the neighborhood two different ways: "Truxton" and "Truxtun".
The second version is the correct one.
City spokeswoman Dana Woodson told WAVY.com the city's sign shop is going to correct the misspelled sign.
