NORFOLK, Va. (WAVY) - USS Minnesota is the Navy's newest attack submarine. The submarine was commissioned Saturday morning at Naval Station Norfolk.
Workers at Huntington-Ingalls shipyard in Newport News built the vessel.
In the next few months, USS Minnesota will move to its home port in Groton, Connecticut.
