NORFOLK, Va. (WAVY) - A foot pursuit in the Berkley neighborhood ended with two suspects detained in Norfolk Thursday afternoon.
Karen Parker-Chesson with the Norfolk Police Department said officers were investigating a narcotics tip around noon in the 200 block of Hardy Avenue, near the intersection with Stafford Street.
At some point in the investigation, a foot pursuit ensued with the suspects. Parker-Chesson said they fled into a home, but were captured. Two male suspects have been detained at this time.
Arnold Patterson, a local resident, watched as law enforcement swarmed the home on Hardy Ave.
"I didn't know if the cops were going to start shooting," he said. "They had their guns drawn out. I didn't know if the suspects were going to start shooting."
No injuries were reported, and there is no word on any charges that may have been made.

Detectives are investigating a homicide that occurred in the East End of Newport News Tuesday night.
