NEW ORLEANS, La. (WAVY) - A Coast Guardsman is being held in Chesapeake awaiting court-martial on charges of sexual assault and possession of child pornography.
Petty Officer Second Class Christopher Bush has been in pre-trial confinement since early June 2013 at the Naval Brig in Chesapeake, according to the Coast Guard. He was assigned to the Coast Guard Cutter Wyaconda homeported in Iowa since July 2012.
The court-martial is scheduled for February 2014.
The decision for a court-martial was announced after an Article 32 Investigation, similar to a civilian grand jury, on Sept. 6.
