An area of Low Pressure continues to get closer to our area. Ahead of it, lots of rain! So far, anywhere from a half inch to 1" has fallen, and an additional 1" (maybe 2" for parts of NC) are possible through early tomorrow morning. The low will move across our area tomorrow, and it'll taper off the steady rain. Actually, some peeks of sunshine are possible...but more showers are expected especially in the afternoon ahead of a cold front that'll move in. So, make sure to carry the umbrella for your Wednesday plans. Because of the chance for some sunshine AND our area tapping into some warmer air as the low crosses our area, plan on a warmer day for Wednesday! Highs will reach the Mid 70s. Once the cold front crosses Wednesday evening, slightly cooler air moves in for Thursday...with highs staying in the 60s. A warm front lifts north on Thursday night ahead of another area of low pressure that'll impact us on Friday. This will warm our temps back into the 70s to end the workweek, but more scattered showers are expected with this system. Another possible low could lead to showers for Saturday; otherwise, the weekend brings near avg. temps in the upper 60s with lots of sunshine for Sunday. Early next week looks lovely as High Pressure sits over the area.
