SURRY COUNTY, Va. - Deonta Fountain knew something was wrong. He hadn't talkedto his twin brother in a few hours. But this bond is morepowerful than words.
"It's a feeling you get," said Deonta. "I'm his twin."
The twins checked on each other every night. But not onthis one.
"I didn't get one of those calls that night, so I alreadyknew something was wrong."
Outside the Colonial Farmhouse restaurant in Surry County,authorities say Keonta Fountain was shot three times and killedearly Saturday morning, likely by stray bullets. Policecharged Latrona Giles, 20, with first degree murder and more.
The pain, the sorrow and the loss are all too familiar forKeonta's family.
"We never thought we'd have to do this a second time," saidRhonda Butler, Keonta's aunt.
It was five years ago Keonta's cousin, Kyron Butler, onlyeight years old, was killed. Also by a stray bullet.
The similarities make it that much harder for Kyron's motherRhonda Butler.
"The last conversation with Kyron, I told him I loved him,"remembered Butler. "The last conversation with Keonta wasalso I love you."
The memories have come flooding back for a family once againtogether in mourning. Once they say they had one guardianangel watching them. Now, they have two.
Authorities are still investigating and are looking for thefollowing persons of interest:
