NEWPORT NEWS, Va. (WAVY) - Harold Eley with the Newport News Police Department confirms that Police Chief James D. Fox will leave his position later this year.
Fox joined the NNPD in September 2004 from Henrico County, Va. and will retire from the force on September 1.
WAVY's Katie Collette met with Fox Friday and talked with him about his time with the NNPD, his reasons for retirement, and how he plans to spend his time after leaving the force.
