NORFOLK, Va. (WAVY) - The South Norfolk Jordan Bridge is setting a new standard toll fee, starting June 16.
Originally, E-ZPass customers were set to pay a $2 car toll each way. That is now lowered to $1.50. If you do not have an E-ZPass, you will pay more to cross the bridge.
For more information about Jordan Bridge toll fees, and how to sign up for an E-ZPass, visit www.EZPassVA.com or call 1-877-762-7824.
The Jordan Bridge also holds E-ZPass enrollment events on weekdays from 3 p.m. to 6 p.m. at the corner of Victory Boulevard and Elm Avenue in Portsmouth. Visit www.SNJB.net for more information.
Earlier this month, WAVY's Stephanie Harris put the bridge to the test, checking to see if the Jordan Bridge is a quicker route than the Downtown Tunnel or the High Rise Bridge. There were mixed results, depending on the day and time of commute.
