Kid Talk is a weekly, half-hour talk show for children. The program explores a variety of topics that affect children, teenagers and their families. It allows kids to give their opinions and express their thoughts freely and without judgment. Kid Talk serves the community by discussing and helping kids work through their problems.

Kids aren’t the only ones who benefit from Kid Talk. Parents get a real look at kids’ concerns these days. So many parents complain that their children won’t talk to them. Kid Talk is an outlet for kids that both parents and kids can learn from.

Since January 1999, we’ve had over 4,000 students on Kidtalk, from all diverse backgrounds. They’ve come from all over Hampton Roads, the Eastern Shore and Northeast North Carolina, including some private schools and non-profit agencies.

Kid Talk helps boost children’s self-esteem and confidence. It shows kids that their peers and adults are willing to listen to them and care about what they have to say.

Kid Talk is the only locally produced kid's talk show of it's kind in the Hampton Roads market. We feel it’s important for children to have a voice in the community.
