PORTSMOUTH, Va. (WAVY) - He came back in the best shape of his life for his senior season it paid off. Chesapeake's Mike Scott was taken in the second round of the NBA Draft on Thursday and since then the phone hasn't stopped ringing.
WAVY.com tracked him down just up the road from our station. Scott was at a book signing in Portsmouth, supporting his good friend Robert Hillman. His proud father was also there.
While Mike was at the University of Virginia, he went through an ankle injury and a coaching change, but he stuck with it and became the first Cavalier to be drafted in four years.
Mike leaves for Atlanta on Tuesday and then heads to Las Vegas for the Hawks summer league team.
