COLLEGE PARK, MD (WAVY) - There weren't quite as many positives to pull out of Saturday's loss as there were after Old Dominion University fell to East Carolina a week earlier. The University of Maryland out-classed the Monarchs 47-10 at Byrd Stadium, while ODU's prime threat on offense is putting his performance in the rear-view mirror.
Taylor Heinicke, the best player in FCS a season ago, completed only 18 passes for 166 yards, no touchdowns and three interceptions; arguably his worst outing as a college player. The Maryland offense, meanwhile, dictated the pace.
The Monarchs are ready to move past their performance in College Park and on to four straight home games starting on Saturday.
Camden County Sheriff Tony Perry said that during the last two weeks, incidents of breaking and entering and home or vehicle larceny have increased in two areas of the county.
