VIRGINIA BEACH, Va. (AP) — Firefighters believe chemicals from a pool or spa caused skin irritations among 10 teenagers who were staying at a hotel in Virginia Beach.
Virginia Beach EMS division chief Bruce Nedelka tells media outlets that the teens were treated at the scene and no one was taken to the hospital.
The incident occurred Friday night at Springhill Suites.
Nedelka says the teens had been swimming in the hotel's pool and were in the spa earlier in the day.
The incident remains under investigation.
Nedelka says the teenagers were in town for an athletic event.
