DARE COUNTY, N.C. (WAVY) - The Dare County Sheriff's Office made five arrests on drug-related charges in four separate investigations in the last two weeks.
On June 12, the Sheriff's Office arrested Abe Martin Thomas, 38, and Rachel Marie Taylor, 33, of Frisco, N.C. for possession with the intent to manufacture, sell or deliver schedule II controlled substance (oxymorphone). Thomas was released on a $15,000 bond and Taylor was committed to the Dare County Detention Center in lieu of a $75,000 bond.
After a narcotics investigation on Hatteras Island, the Sheriff's Office arrested Laurie Lynn Marshall, 37, of Frisco, N.C. on June 12 for conspiring to sell or deliver cocaine. Marshall was released on a $2,500 bond.
On June 13, the Sheriff's Office arrested Cassandra Laquisha Armour, 31, of Avon, N.C. for an outstanding warrant with charges of possession with intent to sell or deliver schedule II controlled substance. Armour was released on a $35,000 bond.
The Sheriff's Narcotics Unit and officers from the Kill Devil Hills Police Department arrested Quaysean Marquis Beasley, 21, of Elizabeth City after a vehicle stop related to an ongoing drug investigation. Beasley was charged with possession with the intent to sell or deliver cocaine, possession of cocaine, and maintaining a vehicle, dwelling or place to keep controlled substance. He was released on a $25,000 bond.
