WALLBURG, N.C. (AP) — An 82-year-old Davidson County man has died in a house fire.
The Dispatch of Lexington reports (http://bit.ly/1arAOug ) that Wayne Setliff was pronounced dead in his Wallburg home Friday evening after neighbors were unable to save him.
Davidson County Sheriff David Grice says investigators do not yet know what caused the fire, but it appears to be accidental.
Setliff's neighbor Robert Walker was walking his dog about 6 p.m. when Setliff's daughter told him to call 911.
Walker and another neighbor, Beau Gardner, tried to get into the house through two different doors but couldn't because of heavy smoke and flames.
