SALISBURY, N.C. (AP) — A 2-year-old Salisbury boy has died in a house fire that injured three others people trying to save him.
Firefighters were called to a home at around 1 a.m. Thursday. Authorities say the boy was trapped in a bedroom in the back of the house.
Officials said a teenage girl in the home cut her arm breaking out a window. A police officer and a man were treated at the scene for smoke inhalation.
The boy's name has not been released. Neighbors say a woman, her father and three children lived in the home.
Authorities are investigating the cause of the fire.
