NORFOLK, Va. (WAVY) - Two women were honored earlier this month as the Sea and Shore Sailors of the Year.
According to a news release from the Navy, Electronics Technician 1st Class Cheyenne N. Shasky, stationed aboard USS Theodore Roosevelt was named 2012 Sea Sailor of the Year March 8 in Norfolk.
Cryptologic Technician 1st Class Shanon N. McQueen, stationed at Navy Information Operations Command (NIOC) Maryland, was named the Shore Sailor of the Year.
The two women were picked out of 12 finalists following two full days of activities highlighting their individual accomplishments.
