WILLIAMSBURG, Va. - William & Mary is preparing to welcome a new mascot. OnTuesday, the college revealed five finalists in its search for anew mascot.
In 2006, the NCAA ruled that the use of the word "Tribe" wasfine, but decided that William and Mary's feathered logo wasdemeaning to Native Americans and had to go. Now, after more than800 ideas for a new mascot were submitted, the college has releasedthe final five -- SEE THEM HERE .
Before making a final decision, The College of William &Mary is asking for your feedback. They've posted a link to a surveywith the concept drawings of the five mascot finalists -- SUBMIT YOUR FEEDBACK HERE.
The survey will ask you to respond to four questions about thedesign concepts before you can submit your feedback. The college isasking that you submit your feedback by 5 p.m., January 7.
