WILLIAMSBURG, Va. (AP) - The College of William & Mary is building a new lacrosse andsoccer stadium.
The 1,000-seat stadium is expected to be finished nextspring.
It will be named the Martin Family Stadium at Albert-Daly Fieldin honor of California donors Eff and Patty Martin and their threechildren.
The couple's daughter Julia is a 2009 William & Marygraduate and former lacrosse player. She is currently employed inthe school's athletic department.
School officials on Friday declined to disclose the amount ofthe gift, except to say it would fully fund the first phase of thestadium's construction.
The stadium will be home to the Tribe's women's lacrosse teamand men's and women's soccer programs.
