VIRGINIA BEACH, Va. (WAVY) - A waste management truck was involved in a crash in Virginia Beach Friday morning.
Grazia Moyers with the Virginia Beach Police Department said the crash occurred around 7 a.m. in the 4000 block of Elbow Road and Walpole Street. The waste management truck was among three vehicles involved.
According to Moyers, there were no injuries and the cause of the crash remains under investigation.
Westbound traffic on Roundhill Drive at Salem Road and Elbow Road as well as eastbound traffic on Elbow Road at Roundhill Drove and Salem Road were closed for several hours until noon.
Virginia Beach Public Works announced Friday evening that road-work crews will be repairing damages from the crash at the bridge on Elbow Road Saturday and Sunday, starting at 8 a.m, according to Drew Lankford with the VB Department of Public Works.
