VIRGINIA BEACH, Va. (WAVY) - Two people were taken to a hospital following a house fire in the 5500 block of Aragon Drive.
Crews responded to the area after receiving calls for a structure fire around 1:48 p.m. Saturday.
Amy Valdez with the Virginia Beach Fire Department said the fire was under control, but two people (not civilians) were taken to the hospital. No details were released about their injuries.
Valdez said the family who lived in the home was not hurt, but their cat did not survive.
Officials did not say how the fire started.
