NORFOLK, Va. (WAVY) - Virginia Beach Police were able to nab a bank robbery suspect shortly after the crime Tuesday.
Around 4:30 p.m., a man entered the bank and implied he had a weapon as he demanded money at the Bank of America located at 3333 Virginia Beach Boulevard, according to Tonya Borman with the Virginia Beach Police Department.
After obtaining an undisclosed amount of money, the suspect fled to a vehicle waiting for him. No one was injured.
Shortly after, officers spotted the vehicle and took the suspect into custody without incident.
The suspect has been identified as Sean Alan Mase, 47, of Virginia Beach. He has been charged with robbery and use of a firearm in the commission of a felony.
State Police have made an arrest in the deadly shooting of a 15-year-old in Sussex County in September.
