VIRGINIA BEACH, Va. (WAVY) - A Virginia Beach sixth grade student is now a published author.
Briley Rossiter, 11, wrote "Born an Angel" about her little sister, Ainsley, who is fighting a rare genetic nerve disorder.
She read the story Tuesday at Centerville Elementary School. The story is about their strong bond as sisters, and the obstacles they have overcome together.
"So it wasn't really that difficult. At times it was hard to write down my feelings but I was basically just writing from my heart," said Rossiter.
Briley's goal is to get a copy of the book in every elementary school in America, including Virginia Beach.
She will do a book signing at the Barnes and Noble at MacArthur Center this Saturday from 1 p.m. to 3 p.m.
