VIRGINIA BEACH, Va. (WAVY) - A Virginia Beach bank was robbed Wednesday afternoon by a suspect police think has robbed several other banks in the area recently.
Tonya Borman with the Virginia Beach police said that police responded to a robbery of a Wells Fargo Bank at 2677 Virginia Beach Boulevard around 4:30 p.m. on Wednesday.
Borman said that the suspect appeared to be the same suspect as Tuesday's bank robbery at the BB&T bank located at 4592 Virginia Beach Blvd. and two additional robberies. One occurred June 10 at the PNC Bank located at 3397 Virginia Beach Blvd. and another on June 3 at the PNC Bank located at 1324 N. Great Neck Rd.
The suspect is described as being a black male in his late 20s to early 30s. He reportedly stands 5'8" tall and was wearing a white shirt with dark green stripes and a light colored baseball cap.
No injuries were reported in Wednesday's robbery.
