VIRGINIA BEACH, Va. (WAVY) - Police need help identifying the suspect of an attempted Wal-Mart shoplifting in June.
Tonya Borman with the Virginia Beach Police Department said that a woman in the Wal-Mart at 657 Phoenix Drive around 3:30 p.m. June 18 was seen hiding merchandise in several tote bags. The suspect tried to leave the store with the unpaid items, but was stopped by employees.
The store's merchandise was recovered, but the suspect fled the store on foot.

Charges have been made in a domestic abuse investigation involving a 74-year-old woman in Elizabeth City.
