VIRGINIA BEACH, Va. (WAVY) - The Pungo-Blackwater Library will be closed Saturday due to plumbing problems, the City Manager's Office announced Friday.
The Health Department informed the library, the Senior Resource Center and Creeds Elementary School, all located in the 900 block of Princess Anne Road, not to use water inside the buildings because of the plumbing issue.
The water comes from wells.
The library and resource center planned to close at 3 p.m. Friday. The library will remain closed Saturday; the senior center is not open on Saturdays.
Staff will determine whether or not to re-open the buildings Monday, depending on the repair status.
The City has not elaborated on what caused the problem.
