VIRGINIA BEACH, Va. (WAVY) - Police say a 27-year-old Virginia Beach man riding a motorcycle was killed in an early morning crash Tuesday.
Tonya Borman with the Virginia Beach Police Department said the crash occurred just before 8 a.m. in the 5200 block of Indian River Road.
Borman said Alonzo J. Zuke was traveling eastbound on Indian River Road. A car traveling westbound and turning left onto a parking lot struck Zuke who was later pronounced dead.
Police said neither alcohol not speed were factors in the crash. Charges may be pending, according to Borman.
Crews closed southbound Indian River Road from Kempsville Road and the road was open again by 10 a.m.
