VIRGINIA BEACH, Va. (WAVY) - Good Samaritans on jet skis rescued a family after their sailboat overturned Saturday in Virginia Beach. It happened around 2 p.m. in the area of Munden Point Park.
A woman, her two children, and their grandfather were on a 15-foot boat in the North Landing River when it flipped over, according to Battalion Chief Patrick Humphries with the Virginia Beach Fire Department.
Humphries said the family was wearing life jackets, and everyone made it to shore safely. No one was hurt.
