VIRGINIA BEACH, Va. (WAVY) - Beach police say a bank robbery suspect accused of shooting a bank customer turned himself in Friday.
The suspect, 28-year-old Timothy Holloman, Jr., has been charged with robbery, aggravated malicious assault, two counts of use of a firearm and possession of a firearm by a convicted felon.
According to police, Holloman shot a Bank of America customer near Town Center on Monday, January 3. The customer was making a deposit, when police say Holloman approached him from behind, demanded money and then shot him.
The victim ran inside the bank for help and was taken to the hospital.
Holloman was also charged with grand larceny and failure to appear in court in an unrelated case. He is being held at the Virginia Beach Correctional Center without bond.
