VIRGINIA BEACH, Va. (WAVY) - A man arrested in connection to the disappearance of a Nelson County teenager has previous convictions in Virginia Beach.
Randy Taylor was arrested Sunday on a charge of abduction in the disappearance of Alexis Murphy. The 17-year-old rising high school Senior was last seen Aug. 3.
Her car was found abandoned in a parking lot in Charlottesville three days later.
In 1993, Taylor pled guilty to statutory burglary and grand larceny in connection to a 1992 burglary in Virginia Beach. Details surrounding the crime were not immediately available.
