YORK, Va. (WAVY) - Two men killed in a single-car crash on Hampton Highway early Saturday morning have been identified by State Police.
24-year-old Ozziyel Nunnally of Hampton was driving a 2005 Pontiac northbound on Route 134, Hampton Highway, around 2:47 a.m. when he lost control of the car, ran off the road and struck several trees.
Nunnally and a 25-year-old sailor, Christopher Belger of Rancho Cucamonga California, died on impact.
Another sailor based at Naval Station Norfolk, who was sitting in the front passenger seat, suffered non-life-threatening injuries and was transported to a local hospital for treatment.
Investigators say speed and alcohol were factors in the crash.
Norfolk Police are investigating the cause of death for male found unconscious on the beach.
