SUFFOLK, Va. (WAVY) - The Fire Marshal is investigating after a Suffolk teen made a comment that someone should blow up her school.
According to Diana Klink with the City of Suffolk, the student made the threat just after 3 p.m. Wednesday at Turlington Woods Alternative School. Klink said the student made a comment to an elder that, 'Someone should/needs to blow up the school.'
Klink said the student was released to her father.
Detectives are investigating a homicide that occurred in the East End of Newport News Tuesday night.
The Northampton County Sheriff's Office is looking for the person who broke into a garage and stole a family pet.
The debate over a methadone clinic reached Portsmouth City Council Chambers Tuesday night. Several residents are against the planned location of the clinic near I.C. Norcom High School.
