SPOTSYLVANIA COUNTY, Va. (WAVY) - A Suffolk man was killed in a motorcycle crash near Spotsylvania County Tuesday night.
Capt. Jeff Pearce with the Spotsylvania County Sheriff’s Office told WAVY.com the 47-year-old man lost control of his motorcycle along Route 1 near Arcadia Road and hit a stop sign.
The motorcyclist continued on and ended up in a parking lot, where he struck a parked vehicle. Pearce said the motorcycle burst into flames.
The victim was pronounced dead at the scene. His identity is being withheld pending notification of family.
