SUFFOLK, Va. (WAVY) - A single vehicle accident involving a scooter is under investigation in Suffolk. A call came in to police around 4:07 p.m. Sunday about an accident in the 3200 block of White Marsh Road.
A 50-year-old man was riding the scooter when the accident happened, according to Tim Kelley with the City of Suffolk. The man told police that a car was in his lane, and that was what caused him to run off the road and into a ditch.
The man was taken to Sentara Norfolk General Hospital with non-life threatening injuries, according to Kelley.
The accident is still under investigation.
