SUFFOLK, Va. (WAVY) - Hundreds of dogs and their owners got together for a good cause Sunday in Suffolk.
Our sister station Fox 43 TV was a proud sponsor of the 5th annual Mutt Strut Dog Walk and Festival at Sleepy Hole Park.
There were police and K-9 demonstrations, games for dogs, a rabies clinic, and even pets ready for adoption from local rescue groups.
Along with all the activities, most people were happy to get out and spend time with other dog lovers and their furry friends.
"Just being able to get the dogs out here and meet other people who are dog lovers. It's really amazing," said one participant. "I enjoy it a lot."
All the proceeds from Sunday's event go to the Suffolk Humane Society.
