SUFFOLK, Va. (WAVY) - Suffolk police are investigating homicide after a man was shot in the face at Cogic Square Apartments early Sunday morning.
Police were called to the area of 94 Stacey Drive off White Marsh Road three times Sunday morning. The third time they found 24-year-old Angelo Fleming Beale of Suffolk , shot in the face.
He was taken to a Sentara Obici Hospital where he was pronounced deceased, according to a press release from Suffolk police.
The first time police responded to Cogic Apartments Sunday was just before 2 a.m. when officers received reports of a person carrying a gun in the area. Police cleared the scene after no one was found.
Around 2:30 a.m. police went back to the area for a report of shots fired but again found nothing.
Then just before 3 a.m. officers responded back put to the same location for another call of shots fired and while they were en route to the scene the call was upgraded to shooting. This time when they arrived police found Beale.
Police have not released any information on a possible suspect or motive for the killing.
