SUFFOLK, Va. (WAVY) - A juvenile was arrested in Suffolk Saturday after being uncooperative with officers, according to police.
An officer was on a routine patrol when he was stopped by a citizen around 3:35 p.m., according to Diana Klink with Suffolk Police.
The citizen reported a person had shot a handgun out the window of a vehicle at several people in the 800 block of Battery Avenue.
When police units responded to the area, a group of people were in the street. Officers asked the group to vacate the road so they could continue with the investigation, but a juvenile refused and began cursing, Klink said.
Klink said the boy was arrested for disorderly conduct around 5:45 p.m.
In regards to the shooting, officers determined no one had been injured and no property had been damaged. However, Klink said the investigation is ongoing.
Charges have been made in a domestic abuse investigation involving a 74-year-old woman in Elizabeth City.
