SUFFOLK, Va. (WAVY) - Firefighters at a Suffolk station were moved to another location after a complaint of insect bites in a bunk room.
Debbie George with the City of Suffolk told WAVY.com a firefighter complained of small insect-like bites in the bunk room at fire station #1 on Market Street.
Firefighters and EMS were moved to other stations as a precaution.
An inspection Tuesday found no bed bugs. Crews will return to the station Thursday.
George said there was never any interruption in fire or medical services.
