SUFFOLK, Va. (WAVY) - A five-vehicle crash along Holland Road in Suffolk sent two to the hospital with minor injuries, according to city officials.
Diana Klink with the City of Suffolk said the crash occurred around 6:10 p.m. in the 1500 block of Holland Road, also known as Route 58. Two people were transported in an ambulance to Sentara Obici Hospital with minor injuries.
Police had to shut down the eastbound lanes of Holland Road as crews worked the scene, Klink said. Motorists were alternated in the westbound lanes to accommodate the building traffic.
No word on what caused the crash at this time. Klink said it remains under investigation.
Wet weather is expected to move into the area over the weekend, forcing some areas to cancel or change their holiday events.
