SUFFOLK, Va. (WAVY) - At least ten people were displaced following a fire at a Suffolk apartment complex Saturday.
Suffolk Fire & Rescue were called to the 600 block of Hillpoint Boulevard at the Hillpoint Woods apartment complex around 4:50 p.m., according to Diana Klink with the City of Suffolk.
Klink said the fire was contained to one second floor apartment and the attic area. Four units were damaged, and eight adults and two children were displaced as a result.
Firefighters rescued a dog from the second floor apartment where the fire started.
Klink said no injuries were reported, and the complex’s property management is helping the residents who were displaced.
The Suffolk Fire Marshal’s Office is investigating the cause of the fire.
