ACCOMAC, Va. (WAVY) - The Virginia State Police have ruled a fire on Drummondtown and Daugherty roads in Accomack County Sunday night as arson.
Sgt. Michelle Anaya with the Virginia State Police said the call for the fire came in around 9:15 p.m. in the 24400 block of Drummondtown Road.
The two-story abandoned wooden structure was in the woods off the roadway. No on was injured.
Arsonists have started more than 70 fires on the Eastern Shore since November, 2012. Investigators told WAVY.com they believed the arsons were done by a group working together, though some are thought to be copycat fires.
Anyone with information should contact Virginia State Police. A reward of $25,000 remains available for information leading to an arrest and conviction.
